What NeedFeed collects when its agent researches Reddit for you, who processes it, and how to get it back or delete it.

Introduction
NeedFeed (needfeed.io) is an AI research agent that reads public Reddit conversations on your instruction and turns them into a feed of customer needs, reports, and exports. Running that agent means we store your research workspace and send parts of it to model providers. This policy explains exactly what that involves.
NeedFeed is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit, Inc.
Information We Collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and avatar, provided directly when you register or passed to us by Google or GitHub if you sign in with them. If you register with a password, we store only a hash of it.
Workspace content. Everything your research lives in: chat messages and prompts, files you upload, agent-generated reports and exports, your notes, your categories and filters. Each account gets an isolated cloud workspace; its files are stored under a storage prefix that belongs only to you.
Research data collected at your direction. When you ask the agent to research a topic, it collects public Reddit content — posts, comments, permalinks, timestamps, and the public usernames attached to them — and stores it in your workspace. See "Public content you ask us to collect" below.
Connected accounts. If you authorize NeedFeed to use an external platform account (for example Reddit) through our integration provider, the access tokens are held by that provider, not by us. We store only a connection reference and the label you give the account.
Usage and billing records. Agent runs and their status, model token usage and run duration, your credit balance and ledger, orders and subscription state. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processors — we never see or store full card numbers.
Device and log data. IP address, browser and device type, and request logs, used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
Cookies. A session cookie to keep you signed in (essential), a locale cookie to remember your language, and analytics cookies only if analytics is enabled on the site.
How We Use Your Information
- Run the agent, store your workspace, and return your reports and exports.
- Meter credit consumption and process payments, renewals, and refunds.
- Send transactional email: sign-in, password reset, receipts, and service notices.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.
- Diagnose failures and improve reliability and product quality.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace content to train models.
AI Processing
To execute a run, we send the relevant parts of your workspace — your prompt, files the agent needs, and the collected Reddit content — to the model provider that powers the run. Providers process it to produce the run's output under their own API terms; we do not authorize them to train on it.
Agent output is generated by a language model. It can be incomplete or wrong, and it is not professional advice. Verify anything you plan to act on.
Service Providers
We share data only with providers that are necessary to operate NeedFeed:
- Cloudflare — hosting, the per-user sandbox that runs the agent, and object storage for your workspace files.
- Model providers — inference on the content described above.
- Composio — connections to external platform accounts you authorize, including custody of the resulting access tokens.
- Stripe, Creem, PayPal — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google, GitHub — sign-in, if you choose those methods.
- Google Analytics, Plausible — traffic analytics, when enabled.
Beyond these, we disclose data only to comply with a legal obligation or a lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NeedFeed, our users, or the public.
Public Content You Ask Us to Collect
The Reddit content NeedFeed gathers is public content, collected on your instruction and stored in your workspace. It may include usernames and posts belonging to people who are not NeedFeed users. For that content you are the one deciding what is collected and why; you are responsible for using it lawfully, including under applicable data-protection law and Reddit's own terms. We process it on your behalf to deliver the service.
If you are a Reddit user and want content about you removed from a NeedFeed workspace, write to us at the address below and we will act on it.
Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Your workspace is isolated per account: a separate sandbox, and a separate storage prefix.
- Delete a chat or research session — its messages and its workspace files are deleted from both the database and object storage. The container's temporary copy disappears when the container sleeps.
- Delete your account — we delete your account record and your entire storage prefix. Records we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons (orders, invoices) are retained for the period the law requires.
- Run logs kept inside the sandbox for streaming and recovery are short-lived and trimmed automatically.
- Backups are retained for a limited window and then overwritten.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Each account's agent runs in its own isolated sandbox with its own storage prefix. Credentials for model and integration providers are injected at the network edge and never placed inside your workspace environment. Sensitive configuration values are encrypted at rest.
No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the failure modes we can control and fix the ones we find.
Your Rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Export is a first-class feature, not a support ticket: threads, quotes with permalinks, notes, categories, sentiment data, and reports export as JSON, CSV, and plain text on every plan. Account settings cover correction and deletion; for anything else, email us.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to complain to a data-protection authority.
International Transfers
NeedFeed runs on globally distributed infrastructure, and our providers operate in multiple countries. Your data may be processed outside the country where you live, under safeguards appropriate to those transfers.
Children
NeedFeed is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced in the product.
